Michael Stocken
Michael Stocken gained his Law Degree from University College Cardiff in 1978. After attending Guildford Law School he entered into Articles with Stanley Wasborough in Bristol (now Veale Wasborough). Qualifying in December 1981, he joined Brain & Brain of Basingstoke where he gained experience in Matrimonial and Criminal cases. In August of 1983 he joined Letcher and Son and became the firm's Litigation Partner in October of 1984. Following the retirement of Michael Wingate-Saul at the end of March 2005 Michael became Senior Partner of Letchers Solicitors in April 2005.
Michael Stocken is an Accredited and Recognised Family Mediator as well as being an Accredited Commercial Mediator. He is a member of The Law Society's Family & Crime Panels. He is a member of the South West Hants Duty Solicitors' Scheme.
He has formally been a District Councillor on Salisbury District Council and has been, for many years, Chairman of the TH Russell Charitable Trust which runs St Ives House, a Residential Care Home in Ashley Heath Ringwood.
Michael Stocken has a number of interests which include horse-riding and bee-keeping. In “warmer climates” he enjoys sub-aqua of which he is a PADI Advanced Diver.
Michael Stocken has maintained his family connection with the motor industry and is a Liveryman of the Coachmaker and Coach Harness Makers' Livery Company, as well as being a Freeman of the City of London.
