Ianthe joined the firm in 2010 as a Salaried Partner based in our Ringwood Office, having spent the first 10 years of her career at a well-respected Christchurch firm where she Headed their successful Family Law Team. Ianthe took joint ownership of the firm from 2012 with Michael Stocken who became the firm’s Senior Partner in 2005. For the last 4 years, Ianthe has undertaken the role of Managing Partner and is responsible for the day to day running of the firm, it’s growth, strategy and financial management. Ianthe also oversees compliance of the firm’s regulatory obligations. 

Until taking over the day to day running of the firm, Ianthe spent her entire legal career, specialising in the financial implications of Divorce, acting for fellow professionals’ entrepreneurs and those in business, often dealing with complex financial arrangements and structures, in high net worth cases. 

Whilst no longer client facing Ianthe’s reputation, still attracts family law work to the firm and she still is very much used as a sounding board by her colleagues in the family law team. 

Ianthe is renowned for her warm and outgoing personality, her drive, tenacity, determination and no-nonsense approach.

Ianthe has an MA in Law from Newnham College, Cambridge University. Passing the then Legal Practice Course with Distinction from The University of East Anglia. 

Since joining the firm in 2010, Ianthe has orchestrated the opening of 3 further offices in the locality and spear headed the growth and success of the firm to date. Ianthe regards herself as very much the “custodian” of our 200 plus year old Practice and her mission is to continue to see the firm, go from strength to strength bringing on board the best possible people who share the same vision for the future.  

In her spare time, Ianthe loves animals and spending time with her dogs, cat, horses, pony and sheep. When she is not caring for her animals, she can often be found at the beach enjoying cold water dipping.
