Katie is an Associate Solicitor with over 20 years of experience specialising in family law, with a focus where appropriate on complex disputes involving children and domestic abuse.

Katie supports parents and extended family members through often highly emotional proceedings, providing clear, practical advice to ensure clients understand each stage of the legal process. She is committed to reducing conflict wherever possible and seeks pragmatic, cost-effective resolutions that enable clients to move forward and focus on their family’s wellbeing.

Katie has strong links with local domestic abuse support services and is a member of Resolution. She has also served on the Dorset Family Justice Board and is accredited as a member of The Law Society’s Advanced Family Panel.

Her work has been recognised with a nomination for “Lawyer of the Year” at the Dorset Legal Awards.

She advises and represents clients across all areas of relationship breakdown, with a particular focus where appropriate on child-related matters. Katie acts for parents and wider family members in both consensual and contested cases, including those involving Local Authority intervention or Children’s Services. Where agreement cannot be reached, she provides robust representation throughout court proceedings to achieve the best possible outcome.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors with her young family. She is an enthusiastic open water swimmer year-round and particularly enjoys a snowy swim in the sea.
