Simon joined Letchers in September 2022 and is a Consultant Solicitor in the Private Client Department based in our Ringwood Office.  Simon specialises in Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

He holds a Joint Honours Degree in Geology and Geography and an MSc in Mining Geology at the Camborne School of Mines.  He worked for several years as a Geologist in two Cornish tin mines and then as a Geotechnical Engineer during the construction of the Channel Tunnel. He later completed a Law equivalent Degree at Wolsey Hall, Oxford, followed by the LPC at the College of Law in Guildford. Simon has worked in the legal profession since 1991, gaining experience across several areas of law before focusing on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

He particularly enjoys assisting clients, often older individuals, in putting in place important documents and safeguards to provide peace of mind, taking the time to offer clear advice in a friendly and approachable manner.

In his spare time, Simon enjoys reading, going to the cinema, running, canoeing, and golf, although he admits he does not always make as much time for these activities as he would like.
